A sculpture to honor Sam Betters' 42 year legacy with LHA
Sam Betters’ 42 years of dedication to the Loveland Community will be commemorated with a sculpture in his honor. The sculptor, Kendra Fleischman, encompasses how Betters transformed housing in Loveland with her sculpture called “Family.” Showcased outside of the Loveland Housing Authority’s office, the sculpture represents community and home, two things that Betters brought to Loveland residents as long-time executive director of the LHA. The sculpture is undergoing finishing touches and will be unveiled in October.
So far, we have raised $20,000 towards our $30,000 goal. The City of Loveland donated $10,000 with another $10,000 match from the Loveland Housing Authority.
Give a gift today in honor of Betters and his lasting legacy in Loveland!
